Dental Crowns

Crowns help us repair teeth that have been weakened — whether from a fracture, untreated decay, or a large filling that's taken a toll over time. The goal is always the same: protect what's there, and restore the tooth to a natural look and function.

At Allô Dentiste, our crowns are all-ceramic, custom-made for your smile. We take digital impressions for a precise fit and work with an aesthetic dental lab to match the shape, colour, and translucency of your natural teeth.

When is a crown the right call?

A crown might be recommended when a filling isn't enough to do the job on its own. Here are the most common situations:

  • You have a large cavity that a filling alone can't repair
  • Your tooth is cracked, broken, or severely worn
  • You've had a root canal, or need a stable base for a bridge or implant

Getting Your Dental Crown

1

Tooth Preparation

We reshape your tooth slightly to make room for the crown and remove any decay while we're in there.

2

Digital Impression

We take precise digital impressions of your prepared tooth — no messy traditional molds needed.

3

Temporary Crown

We place a temporary crown to protect your tooth while yours is being crafted at the lab.

4

Crown Fabrication

Your crown is made from ceramic or zirconia and matched to the exact colour and shape of your natural teeth.

5

Final Placement

At your second visit, we remove the temporary, check the shape, colour, and fit, then bond your crown in place. That's it — you're done.

Why Crowns Work

Saves Your Natural Tooth

A crown lets us save your natural tooth instead of taking it out — and that's always the better option.

Natural Appearance

Our all-ceramic crowns are matched to your natural teeth in colour and shape. Most people genuinely can't tell the difference.

Strong and Reliable

Ceramic and zirconia are tough materials. You can eat and chew normally — no need to treat it any differently from your other teeth.

10–15 Year Lifespan

With proper care, your crown should last 10 to 15 years. Brush and floss like normal, and keep up with your regular cleanings. That's really all it takes.
