Dental Bridges

Missing teeth can affect much more than just your smile. They change the way you eat and speak, and over time, the surrounding teeth will start to drift into the gap — which can shift your bite and lead to other problems.

A dental bridge does exactly what its name implies: it bridges the gap left behind by a missing tooth. It consists of an artificial tooth — called a pontic — held in place by crowns on the healthy teeth on either side. The result is fixed, feels natural, and blends in with your smile.

What to expect

The process takes two appointments. At the first, we prepare the adjacent teeth, take digital impressions, and place a temporary bridge to protect your teeth while yours is being made. At the second, we check the fit and permanently cement your custom bridge in place.

With proper care, a bridge can last up to 15 years. Brush and floss daily — a water flosser is especially helpful for cleaning underneath the bridge — and keep up with your regular checkups.

  • Prevents surrounding teeth from drifting into the gap
  • Distributes bite forces evenly, reducing stress on other teeth
  • Fixed in place — no removal, no adhesives

Getting Your Dental Bridge

1

Preparing the Adjacent Teeth

We gently reshape the teeth on either side of the gap so crowns can be placed over them to anchor the bridge securely.

2

Digital Impressions

We take precise digital impressions and select the shade that matches your natural teeth.

3

Temporary Bridge

We place a temporary bridge to protect the prepared teeth and keep everything functioning while your permanent one is being made.

4

Bridge Fabrication

Your custom bridge is crafted to match your natural teeth in colour, shape, and fit.

5

We check the fit, colour, and bite, then permanently cement your bridge in place. That's it — your smile is complete.
